Regional Campus Support
Information Literacy Instruction
Library faculty are able to provide information literacy instruction to classes at the regional campuses remotely. Librarians can meet with iTV classes using the iTV setups at the Cape Girardeau campus. Please schedule iTV classes 2-3 weeks in advance at minimum so that the librarian can reserve an iTV classroom.
Instruction can also be provided using Zoom, web-conferencing software provided by the university, for classes without iTV access. You will need a webcam and a microphone in order to use Zoom. They are available to borrow at all of the regional campus offices. To schedule an information literacy session, contact your department’s library faculty liaison.
Electronic Reserves
eReserves are materials which live online and are available to students 24x7, not just when Kent Library is open. Kent Library eReserves make it easy for faculty members to embed materials into their course websites by providing a ready-made link which is useable on-campus or off-campus. Faculty members can also direct students to the Kent Library catalog to find e-reserves for their coursework.
Book Request and Document Delivery
Faculty at the regional campuses have full access to Kent Library's circulating collection and to the print periodical collection. You can request books and other physical library materials be sent to any of the regional campuses, Mineral Area College or Three Rivers College, or any member of the MOBIUS library consortium near you.
To request an article from the print periodical collection be scanned and sent to you, submit an interlibrary loan request.
Research Assistance
Library faculty are able to provide research assistance for regional-campus faculty and their students. Research assistance is available by phone, through email, or via web chat. Many of the librarians are also willing to schedule one-on-one research consultations using the Zoom web-conferencing software.
More information on how to get research assistance is on our Ask Us Page. You can also contact anyone in the Information Services Department.
